Month of Impact
About the Month of impact
The "Month of Impact" is an annual tradition proudly organized by the student council of our medical school, dedicated to celebrating and amplifying the spirit of service within our Columbus community. Throughout this month-long initiative, we aim to acknowledge the remarkable work of various organizations and community efforts that make a difference in the lives of those around us. By engaging in a series of carefully curated service projects, our students, faculty, and partners come together in a collective effort to give back, support, and uplift our community. From hands-on volunteer work to innovative fundraising campaigns, every activity is designed to foster a deeper connection with our community and inspire ongoing commitment to service. This initiative not only reinforces our school's dedication to societal well-being but also encourages a culture of empathy, collaboration, and impact among our future healthcare leaders.

An intro to the month of impact:
What is the month of impact?
A time for us, as a collective, to acknowledge, encourage, and promote different organizations and community efforts by giving back to our Columbus community and fundraising.
In the past we have raised money for organizations such as The Health Equity in Heart Transplant Project
Why health equity?
As future providers (and people who actively see patients in LP, hospitals, free clinics, etc.), health equity affects everyone. Our patients don't get better if we don't consider the barriers to care they face. This month, we hope to educate, excite, and inspire everyone to think about equity in every domain of people's lives.
How do I find out more?
We are in the process of planning - Scheduled for February!
